SUMMARY OF JOB:
To work as a team with Country General Managers, as well as Central
Analysis Team and Zone LOB(Line of business) team by analyzing the
APC-MGE share in the local markets and providing recommendations
regarding future actions to the local teams. Market Intelligence Manager
is to provide Competitive And Market Intelligence through objective and
independent analysis, and MIM is focused on analyzing Competitive
Strategy and will recommend APC-MGE tactical moves to close share
defects (is proactive forward looking vs. rear view perspective).

This position works with the following key internal parties:
· Central analysis team (Marketing Performance Measurement, Primary
Research, and WW Market Intelligence & Competitor Intelligence)
· LOB/Regional business development
· GCN Sales and Marketing

This position works with the following key external parties:
· Research Vendors (IDC, Gartner, Frost & Sullivan etc)
· Sales Partners ( to understand the market and competitors within the
Channel)


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

45% · Gather competitive information from the local markets and use SWOT
Analysis and news monitoring
· Data collection/analysis in support of region-wide roll-up/Macro
Analysis
· Execute regular reports and ad-hoc reports assigned by regional
director of analysis
· Contribute to Zone Brief development
· Provide country level market opportunity reports
· Share position by country, LOB and channel (if possible)

20% · MIM must be the local market expert and will provide detailed analysis
and recommendations on how to course correct local strategy
· Provides input into local pricing & promotion strategy to address
share & opportunity

20% · Provide ad-hoc reports/analysis with regional director of analysis
approval

5% · Conduct Voice of customer interview to achieve 33% of total ISX/MGE
installation with in 90days

10% · Must work cross-functionally to optimize data/analysis flow.
· Actively participate in all Central Analysis Team meetings/calls to
maintain synergy
· Work closely with Central Analysis Team to optimize data/analysis flow
up, down and sideways
· Manage local research/survey companies for both local competitive
research and primary research (if needed)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION – MINIMUM REQUIRED LEVEL:
· 4 year degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related
discipline

EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
· 3+ years experience in Sales or Marketing position

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
· Excellent English communication (written & verbal) and presentation
skills
· Demonstrated business analysis skills
· Strong data processing, MS Excel and communication/presentation
skills.
· Ability to perform high level as well as detailed qualitative and
quantitative analysis
· Understanding of local markets.
· Ability to put forward recommendations

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
· Primary Research Knowledge and Basic Statistics
· Analysis/Data Processing SW skill set includes Impromptu, PowerPlay,
Metrics Manager, Access, and SPSS
· Understanding Power and Cooling market in datacenter/IT environment

Back to Nanjing

How time sailed by, day in and day out!
1206 kilometers, 14 hours driving, Jessica and me, in our Peugeot 307 sedan, we started at 7 in the morning and got Nanjing home at 9:30 pm.

Started driving back to Hunan

Blizzards all over South, East and Middle China. Railway communication, highway, local communication systems all falled into chaos, and even aviation. You can hardly find a convenient way back to home during Chinese Spring Festival.
